Trust, Believe, Faith

2022/06/27

There are three things one needs to do when they’re trusting God and that is: trust God, believe in Him and have faith in Him — have the faith of God.

The first thing you want to do is trust God. Trust His plan for your life. You don’t have to have a lot of knowledge to trust God. You just have to say your heart, “I know this is where You’re sending me. I know this is what You want me to do. I’m doing it.”

The second thing one wants to do is believe in God and Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “You believe in God. Believe also in Me.”

Finally, one wants to have faith in God or the faith of God. Jesus said about faith, “if you have the faith of a mustard seed [very small], you can say this mountain ‘be thou removed and cast into the sea, and it will obey you.'”

Trust, believe and have faith.

God’s Delay

2022/05/07

Recently my car broke down. It broke down about an hour away from the town I was going to.

A trip that would have cost a few hundred dollars, ended up costing me about $2,000, not including the repairs in my car, which will have added up to about $1,000 (totally of about $3000).

I got delayed. It cost me more money.

But in the end, it worked out to be God’s best, because I spent some time with my sister, who I didn’t know was flying down at that time.

I really want to say, I believe the delay was caused by God. He did it on purpose.

All things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.

I was helpless. The hotel I was staying at was very clean and not full. The town was easy going.

Even if the delay was not caused by God, He used to for His glory. He works it out so I could spend some time with my sister. And I could get done when I was going to do, and that was see my mother.

Update: now that I’ve thought about this more, I don’t think the delay was from God. God owned it.

He told the devil,

“You think you caused this delay for my child of God, but you’re wrong. I’m owning it now. It’s no longer your delay. But because you caused delay, I am going to make you pay back 7X times what it cost my child.

The people that give to him, I’m going to use that to motivate them, to catch up with their tithes and offerings. But even moreso, I’m going to make you pay back 7X times what they pay. “

In the end, and along the way, God wins.

The Land of Goshen

2021/05/28

Exodus 9:26 says: the only place it did not hail was the land of Goshen, where the Israelites were.

The land of Goshen was the land where the Israelites lived. It was in northern Egypt. It was separated from the rest of Egypt.

It was the land of prosperity.

The Egyptians could not stand to be around the Israelites, because the Israelites where sheep herders.

By separating to Israelites from the Egyptians, the place where the Israelites were prospered.

Goshen was looked down upon by the Egyptians, because they did not like to associate with Israelites.

To some we are an aroma of death leading to death, but to others, an aroma of life leading to life. 2 Corinthians 2:16

For this very reason…

2021/05/28

For this very reason is an interesting phrase.

The word reason can be substituted with the word purpose or cause.

It is a word that is added in the English rendering of Exodus 9:16 as a help to understand the meaning of the verse, but is not there in the Hebrew.

In the Literal Standard Version it says, And yet for this.

The key word is this. The phrase this reason or this purpose or this cause is used to explain the word this in context.

The New King James says:”But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”
