Contract – 3

What does it mean when it says in the Bible that “Abraham saw my day and rejoiced”?

Jesus said those words.

All those under the Old Covenant and before, who were waiting for the kingdom of God, we’re looking forward to the day of Jesus Christ.

The “day” or the “time” that they were looking forward to is the time of the New Covenant.

They were looking forward to the age of faith.

They were looking forward to the time when the New Covenant was established, and they would enter to heaven.

Abraham “rejoiced.” Abraham rejoiced, because he saw the day of Jesus Christ. It gave him great hope. It was the time he was longing for.
