All have sinned and fallen short

There is one thing about the Law of sin and death. It tells us what righteousness is, but it does not give us the power to be righteous.

God does not want you to overcome by the acts of the flesh. You can’t. He wants you to overcome by the His grace and mercy by the power of the Spirit. The flesh is corrupt and is not capable of keeping the Law.

The Law is righteous and demands perfection. That’s why it is called the Law of sin and death. It is called the Law of sin and death because nobody can keep it

You see if we fail in one part of the law, we have failed in the whole Law. If we break the least of the commands of the Law, then we have broken the whole Law. That’s not very good news.

Good News

But there is good news. It is called the good news of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ appeared in the Earth in the form of a man to die for the sins of the world and fulfill the righteousness of the Law.

On the third day He overcame death by rising from the grave. He ascended into heaven and sprinkled his blood upon the Heavenly altar canceling the written code, the law, which was against us.

Now no one is justified by trying to keep the law. We are justified by believing in Jesus Christ. It’s simple.

The Law was put in place for a while until the day of Jesus Christ.

Now that Jesus has come, there’s only one way to be justified, and that is by believing in Him.

We are saved by confessing Jesus Christ as Lord. We are justified by believing in Jesus.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Rom 10:9-10,NIV)

A Fallen World, a Risen Savior

Jesus defeated sin and death by paying the price for sin on the Cross and rising from the grave on the third day. He cancelled the Law with all it’s rules and regulations ascending into heaven and sprinkling his blood upon the Heavenly altar.

Through faith we are a dead to sin and alive in Christ. When we are saved, we are said to be in Christ

State of Being

God’s plan was always for Christ to come into the world and be our savior. That’s why it says in the Bible that Jesus is just and faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We cannot be righteous on our own. God never intended us to be. He makes us righteous.

Receive and Believe

There is one thing and only one thing for us to do, and that is to receive and believe. We can’t earn salvation. It is a free gift.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 6:23, ESV)
