Hope and faith

Hope and faith work together. They work together, so that no matter what the circumstance you can be victorious in life.  Hope is the future, it keeps one going. Faith is now. Faith is the present. Faith says I have it now.

The three friends of Daniel who are called Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego didn’t want to be thrown into the fiery furnace, but they got through it by faith. They told Nebuchadnezzar that they would not bow down and worship the idol made of gold.  They were thrown into the fire but they were not harmed. The fire was so hot that the men that threw them into the fire burned alive.

They said that they would not bow down to the idol made of gold, and that God would save them from the fire, but even if he didn’t they still will not bow down.  They had great faith.  And they also had a love for God.

God saved them. Nebuchadnezzar saw four men in the fire.  Christ was there with them.

Nebuchadnezzar yelled to them to come out of the fire, and they came out without even the smell of smoke on their clothes.

Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego had hope.  And they had faith. They had hope in the Lord and they had faith.  They knew where they were going. They also knew who would save them.

Salvation prayer: “Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for the sins of the world, and that you rose from the grave three days later, overcoming death.  I ask you now to come into my life, and I confess you as Lord.  I thank you right now that I am saved. Amen.”
